Dance/MT Post 16

DD2 has an audition at The London College of Performing Arts and we have an open day visit the week before in October.

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with them and has any opinions they'd care to share?

She's also applied to Brit which is nearer to us, anyone have any experience with them?

Or anyone know of any other good options for post 16 in London or nearby?

She wants to do dance with some MT ideally which looks like what Brit offer.

I hadn't heard of them but their teaching staff look pretty good.

Whilst the BRIT school is excellent in many respects my dd felt the dance standards were not high enough.

Thanks, that's interesting @Comefromaway was that dance as whole or a particular style?

DD has a couple of friends at Brit and they love it but nice to have wider opinions.

Dance as a whole but dd and her friends were mostly interested in jazz, contemporary and ballet for technique.

It would be with consider Read College in Reading, Emil Dale in Hitchin and ICT Brighton.
My DD is at Read in the Upper Sixth they do have students who live away from home for sixth form with host families in the first year and then either they stay with their host or house share in year 2.
Read has an excellent record for the level 3 extended diploma and also for leaver Destinations Urdang, Bird, Laine and Conti are the most common ones for degree courses.

Emil Dale was DD's back up with ICT then last. Read College was first choice and she has thrived there.
