What Masters should I study?

Hi all,

I'm from Australia, and a couple of years ago I completed an undergraduate degree in public relations (over here, it's really normal to study exactly what you want to do.)

I'm now 26 and earning around 48,000 GBP.

I've just been accepted into a Masters course in Strategic Public Relations, and am then going to move to London.

I know in London I'd be earning more like 35,000, and am not very happy with my long term earning potential.

If you were in my position, what Masters would you be looking at to increase your earnings? I'm also interested in public policy, public health, inequality etc.

I’m not sure why your income would drop if you moved to london? Usually it’s the opposite because of the London weighting.

If you ultimately want to work in policy or public health, you’d be best placed to do a masters in one of those areas, but really you’ve got to find out what it is you think your end goal would be and work backwards. If you don’t want to work in straight PR anymore, I wouldnt suggest the masters you’ve been accepted for.

Thank you. I'm currently in Australia where wages are higher for PRs
