Any recommendations for educational lawyer for appeals welcome, for Bromley. Thank you in advance.

Usual advice is not to use a solicitor for appeals. Plenty of appeal experts on MN if you post (either on primary or secondary boards.).

Thank you. I think I will not do it as the school did not offer any 6th Form option to DS.

Why has your son not been offered a place? Have you spoken to the local authority to ask what other options are available?

Are you talking appealing a 6th form place?
Or appealing GCSE results?
I'd be surprised if a lawyer can really help with either within a reasonable time frame (if at all).

You might be better off just focussing on getting a suitable place elsewhere to do a suitable course.

If he didn't meet the entrance grades then he'll need to look elsewhere.

DC started at the local college. He is due to retake some of the GCSEs. Where can I find info re dates and what subjects can he resit?

It is too late to appeal now and the offered 6th form spaces were on first Come - first Come basis. The results were released on 14.08 in the afternoon by email (we were unable to attend in person) and by Friday morning spaces filled in

We werw made feel guilty as DC was abroad and dh and I essential workers.
