CIPD Level 5

Is anyone doing or have completed a CIPD level 5 in HR? I’m absolutely struggling to get the ball rolling. It’s so hard trying to study when you’ve been out of education for so long and trying to juggle working full time, caring for a vulnerable adult and start back into education ... my mind is about to explode. I’m hoping there’s someone out there that’s completed it last year or so and can give me guidance!?

Hi OP.

I started CIPD Level 5 in September and I'm happy to help you if you're struggling? I'm currently on 5UIN Smile

Do you have HR experience? I have 3 years and some how landed a management role last year.

Hi There 👋
I’ve also started it on September and just feeling quite overwhelmed. I work within a small business and would carry out basic HR co-ordinating tasks such as recruitment, probationary reviews, 1-1s etc. I’m great at the people aspect but it’s putting. Pen to paper 🤯 I’m really not very academic at all, I need logistics and layout and structure as guide and then I usually get into the swing of things... how are you finding the course so far!? 😊

I'm exactly the same, I always say I did my life backwards! I randomly fell into HR after a string of dead end jobs I hated and then did my L3 and now the L5!

This is the first module but it's probably the most boring one. I'm hoping it gets less boring the further down the line we get Grin

Are you doing it online? I'm doing it at a college and they're really good at setting out what's expected, what we need to put in the assignment, any info is in the pack.

Happy to share my stuff if you'll think it'll help :)

Aww I’m doing mine at a local college too! This is fab! I could have started during lockdown through an online platform
But thought I’d rather have a classroom environment. So I enrolled at a local college and basically now we are in local lockdown so everything is online anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️ So far I’ve had 1 class on Business Context in HR and Developing professional Practice. What is the unit you are working on at the minute? Happy to trade emails and we can support eachother if you like 😃

One session on developing professional practice. I'm pretty comfortable with this module though, seems pretty straight forward and is mainly down to what I want to achieve... so I can't really get it wrong?

The topic were on at the moment is using information in HR. We have to identify an area of HR practice around well-being and write a business report. It's tough, I won't lie!

Sure, drop me a DM over Smile
