Anyone here do this job? I am wondering about making a change from teaching in to this type of pastoral role. I do not know anyone that does this though so can anyone help me out with what it is like?
I know the salary will be lower but just wondered about the day to day role and how rewarding/challenging it is. Is there much to do after your alloted hours as opposed to the crazy workload ot teaching for example? Do teaching staff/lecturers treat you as a second class citizen? Is there stiff competition for these jobs?
I plan to do another year in teaching and then make a change so any help would be very welcome.
