Life after BTEC

DS just started back on second and final year of BTEC Level 3 Creative Media.

He doesn’t want to go the Uni route. Would rather a job/apprenticeship in the media environment in some shape or form.

However he is extremely lazy! I want to give him a bit of a nudge to get researching/contacting people and companies but he will see it as nagging!

Any ideas on how I can support and help him? I don’t want him to leave it too late!

Research and send him to an apprenticeship fair? I know they have them in London, often alongside university fairs. I don't know much about apprenticeships but speaking to people who do might give him an idea on what to expect and how to go about getting one plus if they give him the low down it might nudge him to do something sharpish. I have heard they are pretty competitive.

Thank you. Yes they do seem to be in London - well the big ones - found one at the end of October which coincides with his one college free day!
