... may I be as cheeky as to enquire what their subject was, please?

DS1 just facing it now, he has some good ideas but we're interested in hearing some real-life examples, thanks!

Dd’s doing hers atm - something along the lines of causes of the five mass extinction events & what will the next one will look like.

I had zero input into it (she said she’d let me read it when she’s finished though), it is related to the degree she wants to do & the course admissions tutor has said it will reduce her offer grades if she gets a A or A*.

One of her friends has written, illustrated & published a children’s book. Lots are doing various history & politics related topics, one is doing something about early dentistry! Another one based on football but I don’t know the details.

Why thank you Tanzie. I hope the information I gave was helpful though. I did what you asked and told you what my two did.

DD did a Geo-Politics one:
'To what extent has District Six in Cape Town risen from the ashes of apartheid?'
She could not decide between Geography and Politics so looked at both aspects in her EPQ. We were on holiday in Cape Town last summer and were given a tour of the District Six museum by an ex-resident. His story was the foundation for DD's research.

She got an A* and the supervisor enjoyed her presentation that much that DD was asked to do it as an assembly to the whole school community. She was pleased that she was able to share the story of District Six with 800 teenagers and inform them of the continued struggle of the ex-District Six residents to return to homes on their land. (Grenfell could turn out to be a similar story).

Since completing it Politics has become her likely uni choice.

Out of curiosity, why are you collecting people's EPQ titles? It should be an area of interest for your DC, not plagiarizing other peoples ideas. There is no way I would share dds work on here, it is hers and hers alone to share.
