College payment

My dd is due to start 6th form college in September.
I've heard that she can claim £35 a week. I've never heard this before.
Does anyone know anymore about it?
I claim tax credits (work pt)
But she also has a job. (Saturdays)
Will that make a difference?
Who claims it? Me or her?
How do we claim?
While I'm hear does anyone know if I have to declare her job to TC?

I think that was EMA, I think it was scrapped.

We'll have to pay £800 for transport for our DD to go to 6th form as the LA no longer fund post 16 transport, so I'd be surprised if she could claim anything.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

She might get a bursary from college worth asking about.

Schools offer a bursary for 6th formers. Each school has slightly different criteria. Some offer bursary for travel or monetary bursary. Should have details on school website.
