KCL maths school

Hi, does anyone have any experience with kcl maths school? My child is considering applying for entry in 2016. We were wondering how many students commute in daily from outside London and whether it is practical to do so.

Because it is a new school I was also wondering how it is settling down? it won't have had a cohort through a levels before my child applies so it's not known how unis will view a student having been through such a specialist school. I just don't have a feel for it?

I have been looking at this school recently for my son. I have heard mixed reviews from people who have been involved with it. There are some very appealing aspects to it but I do wonder about the holistic side. I am looking at STEM Academy in Islington as an alternative, having spoken to someone whose son turned down Kings and went there instead. Rave reviews. We are still undecided though and will probably apply to both.
