Said my link worker when I rang up to query why, as we are a protected address/place of safety, our address is printed in bold letters on the review reports from the childs social worker.

Everyone including the childs family get a copy of the report so our address is out there now.

She is going to word a strong letter of complaint but, as she said the information is in black and white now.

Fgs how difficult can it be to keep a protected address protected

Lo's social worker has rung to apologise, she told me she has been so upset at her lapse that she had to wipe away a tear when she told her manager what she'd done.

It happens surprisingly often My County has just tightened up the computer system so things print without addresses as before we just had to black them out .

Are you particularly high risk?If it is obviously high risk they don't seem to get through as often as the 'possible' risk ones IYSWIM.

If you are high risk, get a flag put on your address with the police. We have done that for some children too.

We foster out of the area we actually live in Nymphadora, this means we tend to get lo's of quite high risk families as we are unlikely to bump into them out shopping etc.

This placement was classed as a "protected placement" at the placement agreement meeting so this should never have happened.

I've known lo's have to move placement when the carers address has been discovered so you'd think they would be extra careful.

Well then they should have been tighter than usual. I was thinking in case where there wasn't the likelyhood of incidents just being cautious!

Get a police log on your address though , just in case.It means they will make you a priority.
