So I have spoken to the social worker in charge of my cousins case and she said her legal team have written to my solicitor with all the details. So i'm just waiting. But today I had another letter, completely unrelated, something I had forgotten about entirely but could have a huge impact on the possibilites of me getting the children.
Please could anyone advise on the following;
This letter was just an update on the carers allowance recieved for the care of my mum. I may have mentioned that she has Fybro-myalgia (sp) and other probs.
Anyway I had forgotten all about it, because although I claim it, the money goes into my mum's account. I had never wanted the money but mum really needed it, she wasn't making ends meet and this has really helped her. I have never seen any of the money, it doesn't even pass through my hands to get to her. All I get is the annual review telling me it has increased.
Anyway I am not the sole carer for my mum, I am one of 3 sisters and one of us is around there everyday helping out. I admit I am around more often say 4 times a week. (i did check and it said that carers allownace can be claimed if more then 1 carer are looking after the person. But can only be claimed by 1 person, not all of them.
So mine is the name registered as her full time carer.
Does anyone know what kind of an impact this might have. I cant believe I had forgotten about it?
Thanx for your help
