After many months of considering this (I have asked questions on here before too) I have rung the local authority and registered our interest.
I am about to fill the forms in.
The one thing that worries me is my own background. Obviously they will need to consider how appropriate dh and I are in many different ways.
Without going into a lot of detail, I had quite a difficult upbringing, bought up by one parent, very odd relationship with own mother no contact with my father for the past few years.
I am aware that they will probably ask stuff like this, I am happy to answer fully and honestly.
Do any of you know if this will be held against us in any way?
