Why should it ?

If you are found to be a fit and proper person to care for this child then having a baby will have no effect surely ?

Or is there some info missing

Congratulations by the way and well done to you for stepping up for this child

Thankyou and I’ve always had her through family arrangement no social services involved but my brother recently passed away so I was advised to apply for the SGO for parental rights I passed with flying colours and there was no worries at all but im just worried because I’ve found out im pregnant and it’s not been long since I’ve been granted the SGO even though she has always lived with me and I’ve also had a daughter in the 7 years I’ve had her and there is no worries i just panic about the smallest things because i would never want anything bad to happen
Thankyou for your reply

I am so sorry to hear about your brother
It sounds as if you've been through some tough times ?
Will you manage with another baby ? Are you happy about the pregnancy ? Do you have a good partner ?

If the SGO has been granted at a final hearing it can't be taken away from you (other than for very serious child safeguarding reasons or if a parent gets themselves together and takes it back to court). To all intents and purposes that's your child now and no different than your birth child.
