I sit on fostering panels and I am sent links in advance of meetings, usually around two weeks before. Contact whoever did your assessment and ask if they have had the links yet and ask for it to be sent to you.

Thank you I'm new to this posting thing I've never done it on here before . I had my panel on the 27th of January and the panel approved me and my partner to foster our grandchildren. I'm just waiting for the letter in the post now from the ADM .

What do the fostering panel do and who do they usually speak to? Is it everyone in the family that are fostering?

@Health47

When you are assessed your social worker produces a report with a recommendation as to whether you are suitable to foster.

Put simply the panel considers the report and determines if it agrees with the recommendation. That recommendation then goes to the agency decision maker for confirmation.
They will speak to your SW and everyone looking to be approved. My panel also spoke to my adult son who was still living at home. He's a right charmer and had them wrapped round his little finger. They called him back at the end to wish him good luck at uni.

Thank you for the reply. When fostering do the panel or social services speak to children that don’t live in the house where a child will be fostered eg if a husband and wife are planning to foster and the husband has a child that doesn’t live in the house, or will they not be considered?

The assessing SW will interview all relevant people.
In our case we both had ex partners who were interviewed as were my partners children who lived with their Mum.
The SW will write it all up in their report which is sent to panel members.
The panel members will get the opportunity to ask SW questions before the panel date if they have any. The SW will answer these before panel so the members will have all the info they need before they meet you.
