I do that alongside short term. Is there anything specific you want to know?

Hi, I'm applying to become a Foster Mum, how does weekend/respte fostering work? Can it be a one off so does it occur over a set or estimate amount of time e.g. 6 months?

Evergreen Foster Care (based in Staffordshire) offer their main foster carers up to 62 days per year respite which is planned in advance, and the child is matched to one respite carer so they can build up a lasting and meaningful relationship. This allows planned breaks for both child and carer, and offers the child a wider network of support. In most cases this is every other weekend and some school holidays. Each IFA / LA do it different. Hope this helps.
