Can you work for more than 1 fostering agency? Are they usually conflicts of interest?

We had a situation of wanting to take on a child from a different county council, because someone we knew had a child taken in to care. We were told we could only be with one council, although our current short term placement may be able to stay .

I am not sure about private companies.

You will only be able to be registered with 1 fostering agency at any one time, which is why it's really important to do your research and make sure you choose the right one for you.

What happened to your idea of putting a foster child in an outbuilding @braveheart2020 ?

simple answer is no. Your registration is held by one fostering organisation be it a local aurthority or an IFA. Its a bit bonkers but its the way it currently works.
