Does anyone know if there is age restrictions on this? Thinking about FTA and have no children of my own after years of Failed IVF. Do you have to through adoption process first?

Hi I think you may get more responses if you post this on the adoption thread. Good luck

Hi, no age restrictions legally but you would have to demonstrate that you are fit and able to care for s child who may have significant difficulties. This includes a medical check. You'll need to go through the adoption process, with a bit of extra training for the fostering element, and will be dually approved by panel to foster and to adopt.

Hope this helps!

Yes you have to go through the adoption process to foster to adopt - the adoption process takes approx 6 months and will include your desire to do fostering for adoption.
