Hi,

We are soon to be moving our little one on to be adopted and I wonder if anyone had any book suggestions for me to read to my bc (2.5years old) to help her understand and also the little one who's being adopted (2)! Iv been leant a few by the adoption team (the family book, finding a family for Tommy and Dad David, Baba Chris and Me) but just wondered if there's any other good ones to use. Thanks :-)

Elfa and the box full of memories - a good one about separation and loss.
The teazles baby bunny- a good one for younger children
Nutmeg gets adopted - a really great book that discusses issues such as why she ended up in foster care and transitioning to an adopted family
The most prescious present in the world- a great book about looking different to adopted parents. It answers a lot of questions and worries a child may have and makes them feel special being adopted.
I hope this helps? I wish you all the best for this time of transition x
