has anybody managed to open a junior isa for their foster child whom they do not have PR for?
What documentation from the department did you need?
Or is it total no?

We couldn't open one as our little one already had one that was opened by the government and mum had this.
Apparently all children born in certain years had one of these and you are only allowed to have one isa.
I just opened a Halifax account for them and pay a standing order in each week.
I explained who I was and took child's birth certificate.

The share foundation holds a junior isa for all lac children if they didn't qualify for the government one. You are able to contribute to this one. The child will receive the isa at 18. Just go to www.sharefoundation.org and it will explain everything. Hope this helps I was having the same problem a few years ago when I stumbled across this.
