how often do you decorate your long term foster child's bedroom?

Same as you would your own children.

We didn't decorate the room our two shared in our first house, other than some wall stickers. Mainly due to them being short term when they first arrived and then, when it was decided they would be long term, the priority was to move so they could have a bedroom each so it seemed silly to decorate when they wouldn't be there long.

We moved last summer and decorated their rooms during the first couple of days. Wallpaper with their favourite character on, toy box, storage unit, bin, bedding, lampshade etc to match. That all cost quite a bit so we have no plans to redecorate yet! The eldest is almost 9 now so will redecorate before secondary I think as otherwise new secondary friends might think his current room is a bit 'babyish.'
