Starting Process

Hi all,

Husband and I have just started the process into fostering. We have 3 children (14, 18, 20) who don't live with us (I am stepmum to them) but 2 of them stay with us during holidays.

We'll be arranging the home visit next week and I'm so glad I've found this forum as already its answered some of my questions.

I guess like everyone else, I feel nervous, excited, apprehensive

Good luck! It's a very intense process but you learn a lot about yourself - remember, it's about you finding out whether this is right for you, as well as them assessing your suitability to foster.

Don't be afraid to ask as many questions as you need to, and make sure they will support you properly. Who is coming for your home visit? LA or agency?
