I was wondering if there's any other fostering boards or forums?
It's pretty slow here. PM me if you don't want to post it..thanks

The fostering network have them but they are even slower. I think due to confidentiality and the nature of fostering, open forums are always going to be quite general and a bit slow to be honest.
I have had a really difficult placement but I wouldn't dream of discussing it online, not even anonymously.
What sort of thing are you looking for?

Yes I can understand what you mean.
As I'm in the process of becoming a foster carer it's really interesting for me to read posts about it and see the struggles (and also the good side!) for when the time comes when I get my first placement. It helps me to feel prepared in a strange way, although I know I can never be properly prepared :)
Thanks for replying x

Netmums non biological families has a few carers.
Will be quiet for the next few weeks, half term, everyone's up the wall with entertaining the kids and sorting out contact.
I sometimes go on frg. This gives you a little insight into the legal process and also the feelings of the parents.

There are groups on facebook, but they will only let you join once you are approved.
