How long between placements? (LA)

Just trying to gain an idea of an "average" wait between placements, or rather how many months/weeks of the year you were without placements if that is easier to calculate, please?

I'm considering going with a lower-paid LA rather than IFA in order to have regular placements. I have room for 2 children, 0-10.

I'm still on my first placement but I don't think I'll have long to wait when this placement finishes before the next starts.

My husband and I had only been approved by the panel 2 days before having the children come to live with us. I think it depends on the area. In my area there are always plenty of children being taken into care Sad

In my area it really depends on what age group you are fostering. If younger children it seems to be several months, whereas with teenagers there seems to be pretty much no wait at all.

Never been longer than a couple of weeks for us , all ages, sometimes have several calls from SW's all trying to give us a placement [no organisation skills with our LA so they can double or even triple book you.]
