Do you mean photos of foster child with your family and friends or with their family?

I share photos of my family (including foster children) via email and whatsapp with my very close family, well just my parents really.

I don't put photos of foster children on Facebook or any social media even though my privacy is bolted right down!

I have no direct contact with birth family, but I do print off photos to share.

Hth!

I was thinking for example of a photo of a foster child on their birthday with their cake (possibly with other people from my family in the pic) . So that my aunt could see it in Australia :)

Does your aunt have a relationship with the child? I wouldn't share photos with someone who didn't actually have a relationship with the foster child I don't think. I suppose to me, the difference is whether the child would want their image shared with someone they don't actually know. They have such precious little privacy being a lac as it is!

My LA are very clear that Foster Children cannot be on social media, full stop. They are also not happy about photos being shared by email (e.g. I needed to provide child's SW with a few photos for adoption profile. These had to be hard copies as I do not have encryption software).

We were told by LA that we could not give even our parents a photo of foster child, neither could they or friends take a photo of the child eg at a party. At the end of the day, it is someone else's child.

Absolutely never. And we don't have Facebook or anything similar.
