home insurance?

Hiya,
asking for my mum who is a new foster carer and needs to sort out her home insurance.
I read something on here ages ago about a lot of insurance companies not letting foster carers claim when they need to due to loop holes or something.
What companies are you all using for your home insurance and are there any in particular for foster carers?

She just needs to let her current insurer know. We weren't charged any additional, and were told that insurers were not allowed to charge an extra premium based on being foster carers.

She also needs to let car insurance know for business use!

Our existing home insurance company refused to cover foster carers when we phoned them up after we were approved. They gave us 14 days to find an alternative provider. Thankfully we found a good deal with one of the mainstream big name insurance companies (we found those that advertise as being specialist for foster carers quite a bit more expensive).
We had no problem at all with our existing car insurance though - they just updated their records.
