I was in the middle of fostering my ex brother in law baby boy, he was in my care for 3 weeks, during these weeks social services had arranged visits with birth mum and had told me to arrange visits with the birth dad as social services would not do this as he had threatened one of their staff and has anger problems, terms of these visits for the birth dad was two or more people had to With him and the baby at all times which had been passed by social services... So this I did, he had a visit for a little over an hour with three other people including myself all of which had been cleared and authorise by social services, a week later social services told me by doing this visit (which was in their guide lines) I put the child in danger, The birth dad would never harm children and social are aware of this... how do I fight this as I feel it was unfair removal???

I'm replying as I didn't want the post to go unanswered!
It is hard to know what went wrong, but it might be worth asking to make an appointment with the fostering manager or the social worker to help understand.
Had you been assessed as a family/ friends carer, or were you undergoing assessment after the baby was placed with you?
It sounds unusual that you would have been left to arrange contact, as the contact is generally also part of the parents assessment process to see how they parent. I'm wondering if wires have got horribly crossed?

Hope you get the answers and sorry this forum hasn't been able to give you them! Huge respect to you for looking after the baby, it isn't an easy undertaking!!
