After 4 months our first placement is arriving today, it's only respite but it's a start. We've met him, he's a lovely little lad, I'm so nervous and excited!

Congrats, bet it is an exciting time. We have 4 weeks left till panel but a foster carer that i am friends with said she knows someone who was approved 4 months ago and still hasn't had a placement....

Good luck!!
At the moment, there is a 6 month + wait between placements for short term carers in our LA.

He's leaving on Wednesday, we've had a fantastic first time fostering experience. It's been very challenging at times but we've coped, and learned so much, I feel very proud, we CAN actually do it after all!

Good luck kendalmintcake and mummypenny, it's worth all of the hard work.
