Mine took Jan to Sept. I have heard others taking a year but yours seems to be taking forever!! Is there any reason you know of for this? What does your supervising social worker say? I presume you are with an LA.

Yes we are with an LA, the problem is the SW as far as we can tell.
everything else is fine, the medical, cbt, references, home, and everything else all ok, in fack all great according to the SW, just no progress forward.

Mine took a year, from first enquiry.
There was a couple of months before the assessment could start properly as they were short staffed.
There is a lot of paperwork goes into those forms; they have to make sure that they are done thoroughly!
How far along in the process are you?
The waiting is awful, I agree, but will be worth it in the end!

As far as we can tell everything is done
just the paperwork to be submitted by the SW for panel approval.

if she ever completes it and submits it

You need to phone your social worker; ask her if the assessment is complete, and if there is a date for panel.

It is important that you communicate well with him/her. It sometimes can take a bit of persistence because they usually have a huge amount of other work to do too.

It doesn't sound like it will be long!
