Hi, do your LA's give you a holiday allowance for taking babies with you on holiday? We have been told that our's won't if the child is under 1 as they won't cause you any expense?

Thanks

Hi, For the summer hols, we receive an extra two weeks "boarding out" payment to help pay for days out or to helpmtowards holiday costs. I'm currently looking after a 15 month old, but I am 100% sure everybody gets it.

We're FC for LA.

We get it regardless the age of the age of the chid i very surprised they would say that i would imagin babies dont travel on planes or ferrys for free

If you can show the cost implication then they might back down

I get some for my 8 month old. It is an increase to the general allowance from my agency but it is to cover stuff like that.
