Think this might be best place to ask. YP is just turned 16 and foster placement just broken down a couple of weeks ago. I've advocated for YP for last 12 months, but no experience of CSC other than from supporting YP at reviews and CP conferences.
YP was on holiday with a relative when placement withdrawn and has had to stay with those relatives since as CSC not found another placement, but they are other end of country and don't have room or desire to keep YP there much longer. Exams are also looming.
SW not had any contact since placement broke down and YP not been told why it was withdrawn or been provided with any financial support.
Care panel have said they won't consider offering another placement at present and want PA to find supported lodgings as YP was due to move to supported accommodation at end of academic year, although this had not yet been agreed or housing allocated. YP has had advice from the advocacy service but it's all getting a bit stressful and frustrating. And SW not responding to communications. Anyone able to give me the ins and outs of what CSC can and can't do?
