Very excited here. We were approved in JUly this year and so far haven't had a placement. This is down to us going for long term/permanent and the restricitons regarding matching due to my son's age and his own disabilities.

However just before Christmas our SW phoned to talk to us about a little one who sounds like he would just fit right in with our family. If we had a wish list, this little one would fill every wish. Both our SW and LO's SW agree that it's a perfect match.

Please kepp everything crossed for us as it's still early days and could still go pear shaped. A very excited but nervous household here :)

xx

Merry Christmas Everyone xx

Can feel and ikea trip coming on :) xx

Still no news. If nothing by tomo afternoon I will give SW a ring. A bit worried his other half has gone into labour (due very soon) and he is actually off!!

I have everything crossed for you but just wanted to add a note of caution - I've lost count of the number of children who've been "on their way" to me, without actually arriving. I wasn't notified of changes of plans for any of them. Maybe hold fire on selling your bed until they arrive? Unless you want rid of it already.

I have a love/hate relationship with IKEA. Hate the store but love the restaurant - it's the most kid friendly eating place near me and the kids love the play area so I get to drink a cup of tea while its still hot!

Hope the LOs arrived now and my note of caution isn't needed.

mumtosome · 30/12/2011 17:10

Hi,

This will be a ver planned move if it does go ahead. Very aware that it could go pear shaped at any point. The bed needs to go anyway so that's not a problem :)

I put down for emergency placement hence got some children when approved in July otherwise the children they are bringing up are nothing like the form F or what we discussed...
Best of luck it goes through..Just remember keep on top of the paperwork from day one.

scarlet5tyger · 04/01/2012 19:20

Hi mumtosome - still have everything crossed! Do you have an update??

mumtosome · 09/01/2012 09:58

Still waiting.....still nervous. Good news is though that another couple were also interested in fostering this little one and SW has said that we are a better match and have requested our complete information........hope to hear this week

OH That all sounds very promising :) Fingers tightly crossed.

(Things haven't been going well since boxing day with our little one and I have a back injury so all in all a bit down round here but hanging in there :) thanks for asking :) )

mumtosome · 14/01/2012 09:59
