Our first placement - 3.5yr old twins for respite for 3 weeks. The house feels very full, and I am adapting to shopping for 6!

Very excited, if slightly tired :)

Hello, hope you don'e mind me joining in, I have been lurking for a while.
We are expecting 2yr old twins later this week, just for 1 weeks respite. I am very excited, we just had a little one leave so the house is far too quite. I will be shopping for 6 aswell, can't wait!

I hadn't quite realised how much food we would need! It's lovely having the house full though.
We have lots of fun things planned for the next couple of weeks, weather permitting!

There have been six of us too lately and I feel I am always shopping and running out of things.

nojustificationneeded We have only ever done respite for other foster carers, sometimes they just need a break or if they can't get permission to take them on holiday.

Yes, in this case too it is respite because the usual carers have gone on a much-needed family holiday!

Yay! Hope you enjoy it and the weather holds for you all!
