Well, this is the end of our first week as a foster family.

We have been very lucky as we were able to take DFD on our annual (UK) family holiday- we departed 36 hours after she arrived!

Luckily, apart from a few teething problems with nappies etc, I think we've done really well. If I told you that there weren't a couple of days that were sheer hell (buggy wars, toy wars and weetabix wars....) I'd be lying, but honestly? We've enjoyed every minute.

We have no idea how long she might be with us yet, or even what the long term goal for her is. Hoping to find out more this week so we can prepare her (and ourselves!) for the future.

That's fab, how old is she and how long did you have to wait for a placement after being approved?
Glad you managed to take her on your holiday.

SFM, she's nearly two. We waited 13 days after approval. We were very lucky to get her. She's at contact now, so i'm kind of at a loose end! Her mum can take her back at any time, so I just hope she's there when I get back :(
