Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their words of wisdom over the past few months. After a 4 month wait for a 0-5 placement I collected our newborn LO a couple of weeks ago.
After all the doom and gloom of the skills to foster (i realise it will all come into play when we get an older placement) I have to say everything has been brilliant. All the SW have been wonderful. Contact very hectic as a way away and 1.5hrs per day so really takes up most of the day.
Initially things were very busy with lots of official visits frm SW and midwives etc and I am grateful my DC's are older and able to fend for themselves a bit as I don't think I could have managed if I had my own LO's too. Although I know lots of you do!!!
LO is soooo good so that helps!
So all the waiting and paperwork and courses are def worth it in the end!!
