Hi all.

I have recently found this site and just wanted to say how amazing it is. Being able to share experiences with other foster carers is brilliant. There is some great advice on here and I am fascinated by other foster carers experiences with their LA and IFA's. I thought all LA's would have the same rules and regs but apparently not.

Wish this site had been around when I started fostering 14 years ago. Or was it??

You have to hope Nananina answers your questions - she is simply the best and all social workers should use her as a role model.

Yes Nananina certainly seems to have much more empathy than the witch team manager in my fostering dept.

I agree there is some good advice on here. It also becomes apparent that not all LA's work in the same way. It is good to share our experiences. I feel that it is only other foster carers that can understand the difficulties and dilemmas that foster carers go through.
