When I do them for children in care I have also needed passport number for mum or her bc to prove she is British citizen.

Hi Mama.

Yes I have managed to obtain passport for a child for whom I had SGO.

Make sure you take your Court Order and child's birth certificate and also your own passport. I also took a letter from the Child's Guardian just in case the passport office needed to discuss with independent person. They did not need it.

Hope that helps?

SGO gives you PR to a certain extent. I have obtained passport for my LO, also on SGO. I also had to take my own passport as well as paperwork relating to the child.

You do not need permission from birth parents.

As long as the name on the passport will be the same as on BC there isn't a problem with you applying as you have the court order.

My cousin got one for her FDS with SS permission (before got gardian-ship) as the had PR at the time.

Enjoy your holiday. Smile

Thanks do you think its best for me to go in person and do it?
My DS was born here so has a BBC.
unlike his bro not born here no BBC,no passport and has a different surname its messy he needs to "naturalisation" its annoying to know that this was not sorted out before! courts said it was suppose to be done 3 yrs on nothing!!!!! never had info on how to deal with SGO before done it for not wanting children to be split! 5 kids on and our first hol dont want NOTHING to spoil it!
