Hi just updating... Our new social worker is great. We felt very comfortable with him and enjoyed our 1st meeting. He has booked 6 visits with us in advance on a weekly basis so he can get the f1 form done asap. He hopes to get us to panel by February at the latest. Didn't realise how much we have to do ourselves. Pages and pages of questions. We are so relieved he is committed to getting us to panel so quickly after all we did originally apply last year. Also he says my dd aged 6 will have a one day course with a special social worker and then 4 meeting with our social worker during the assessment. I think it's wonderful that she will be so involved in the process.
Is this the same for everyone going through the assessment or does every la do things differently?
