Does anybody here forster and work?

Completely and utterly confused in regards with paying tax.

Because both DH and I both work, does anything we receive from LA for fostering need to be considered taxable on to of our earnings at work?
I don't even know what I'm asking!
Does anybody know what I'm asking? Can I work and foster? Will I be worse off? Do I need an accountant because sums scare me?
