Do trades really open and close within days?

DH got an email from the RAF saying the RAF Police had opened up (he had been calling and they said they would tell him). This was on Tuesday. We started the form but the internet crashed and we lost it, and went back to it just now (DH was working long hours last week & weekend) and we can't - it says they are full Do trades really open and close that quickly, or is it maybe an error...? We knew we had to be quick, but I cannot believe we have missed it because we left it a few days

yes they do, particularly if a lot of people have been waiting as they will all get the phone call around the same time, and there may not be many places once it opens.

As penguin73 has said yes!!

Can he go to the careers office? He would then have a contact 'on the inside' rather than someone at the end of the phone.

Hopefully there will be another chance, fingers crossed. x

It was an 'inside info' email, lots of people must have been on their list. I have just heard though that his friend took his apitude test a month or so ago and was told he had another chance, but has now found out he has to wait 6 months. DH would rather apply in a better position I think, his blood pressure needs to come down still - we were just going to take the risk the health test was going to be a few months after applying. We know next time though to do it as soon as the email comes! Thanks
