I'm not sure they check the actual plugs as the appliances etc are at your own risk.
But yes, all the sockets.
And I think light fittings
Trip switches

Yes - they check every plug and socket.
Our last quarter failed to pass a electrical safety check just before we moved in and they were just going to let us move in and not say anything. We knew the previous people who had lived there and there TV and microwave was blown up 'cause the wiring was so dodgy. There was green goo seeping down the walls from the wiring it was that bad. They rewired the whole house and replaced sockets etc. DE - what a nightmare!!!

Thank you all for such quick replies!!

i'm still panicking!!! i cant remember what colour the carpet is in the junk spare room and as for the understairs cupboard (very dark location of trip switches) thats a shut the door quick jobby!!

its a good job its a PM appointment!! here's hoping we pass/they don't cock it up!! they condemned our gas fire three times before they replaced it!!

No green goo here, at least not coming from the walls, wish i could say the same for the children!!

I can't believe you polished your plugs!
What a good wifey!

I hope you checked that they plugged your frdige and freezer back in. They unplugged ours once and we didn't realise until much later that day, and the DHE said it was our responsibility to put the plugs back in!
