oh, lovely

Minging. Sorry you have to clean all that now

jcscot · 13/02/2010 16:46

How predictable. I am sorry but, look on the bright side - you're in your shiny new quarter away from the mad neighbour! A bit of spit and polish and you'll be fine.

jcscot · 13/02/2010 16:47

Make sure the dirt is all notced on the march in forms - I believe you can then claim a free quarter clean when you march out. Certainly that used to be the rules.

Surely you must be able to contest that, herbietea - even if the previous occupants did clean it, surely the DE should have made sure it was cleaned again after all the work that was done? Did you try to challenge it?

Good Lord! If that's normal behaviour, then I'd hate to see what constitutes abnormal! Official complaint is deifnitely the way to go, especially as your housing officer sounds like a complete loon. I hope you get somewhere with it.

StrictlyKatty · 22/02/2010 12:34

Our garden had what we called the 'crap pile' ie the previous person had gone AWOL and had burnt all his kit in the garden, everything he owned! Half burnt, half mouldy, had been there for 2 years. There were slugs, frogs all sorts in it.

The house itself is totally dump and I cried for a week when we moved it.

Saltire · 22/02/2010 13:44

Well Modern Housing problems Solutions arrived today 9finally) to fix the 3 radiators which haven't worked since we moved in
the rotary dryer in the back garden, which when we opened it was all cut up (all the line) and the arms bent
put a lock on back gate and fix the handle as it couldn't be opened
