Hearing Test

DH (Army) has just had a hearing test (after months of nagging from me!). Apparently he is H3 and has to make a follow up appointment with his doctor. Does anyone know what this means and what the implications might be? I'm beginning to think I shouldn't have nagged him to get tested!

lol - i only know the A,G and Z minimums
are you worried that he will be medically downgraded and it will affect future signing on etc?

looking on the bright side - quite often the medics expect hearing to deteriorate with age no idea how old he is lol, and are reasonably ok as long as it is all within limits. i work in an environment where they have recently brought in the use of 'double protection' (in-ear and external ear defenders) as single defenders have now been shown to be insufficient in terms of protection. some of our guys are now eligible for compensation as the expectation is that work has damaged their hearing...

apols if he's a clerk! try not to worry until he sees the doc and he can ask all the q's then - if you have been nagging him then he obviously has been needing to get it checked, whatever the eventual outcome?

Thanks, madwoman.

Yes, my concern is that if there are career implications it will be my fault for highlighting it! You are absolutely right, though, it DID need to be checked. I'll come back and let you know when he's seen the doctor.
