Hi all,

I am a regular but I doubt you recognise my name [supersoakers, Fabio the school cat, NO sparkly tickers etc etc] and wondered if the power of Mumsnet could help.

A good friend of mine (a father of 4 and a para in the British Army) is running in the London Marathon this year for the make a wish foundation unfortunatley he is having problem raising the sponsership money (£1,800) due to most of the soldiers on the barracks having been deployed to Afghanistan/Iraq/Kenya etc.

Should he not be able to raise the money he will have to pay it all himself! So let Mumsnet do it's stuff - if we all give £1 towards the make a wish foundation via his sponsership page we can help bring a smile to a very poorly child and give them and their family a holiday/event to remember.
