Netheravon??

We asked on our posting preference to be anywhere further north than where we are now (Aldershot),as we're both from Glasgow and looking to settle up north when DH gets out (at end of this next posting) and the army being whst it is we've just been given Netheravon.One of the other guys on the course got York and would much rather be down south so DH is looking into whether a swap might be do-able but in case we're stuck with it - does anyone know anything about it?

nothing that would help you really ,except my Dh (RAF) did some skydiving there.

Netheravon is really in the back of beyond. (My husband's Bn HQ is there and he frequently has to commute from there to Edinburgh). The Mess/accomodation/office buildings are fairly dilapidated but IIRC the quarters aren't too bad.

There isn't much to do on camp and I'm not too hot on the local amenities - we only visited there when we were posted to Bulford.

ugh this isn't sounding good! Keep everything crossed for me they let us swap
