How are you? Hope you are all settled back in Blighty and had a good Christmas and NY etc etc.
Wanted to say a cheery HELLO , but not really appropriate on my other thread.

Bumping for you.

McDreamy · 14/01/2009 15:44

Hi VP! Yes I know what you mean, I was so pleased to see your name and then also felt it wasn't the thread to wave

How are you? We had a lovely Xmas thanks, fairly quiet, just the 4 of us in the morning and then my parents joined us for lunch. Did a bit of travelling and catching up with friends between Xmas and New Year and had friends over for NY.

Only about 3 weeks to go until no 3 makes an appearance. Feeling a bit big heavy and slow now.

Good to be back in the UK, amazing sales. Not a good time to be inn Cyp! Looaf of bread currently £2.88 and a friends was charged 80 euros for a pair of Clarkes shoes - that's £80!!!!!!!!!!!

VanillaPumpkin · 14/01/2009 17:19

OMG!!! I knew it was expensive as the LOA has just been hiked hugely but that is utter madness isn't it??? How on earth are the locals surviving ?

Glad you had such a lovely Christmas. Only three weeks till you have dc3. Wow, how exciting.

We had a busy Christmas with three visitors, my MIL, my FIL and MIL's boyfriend . It was great actually. Then went off to do the grand tour of all relatives for five days before coming home for fun NYE party at a friends. It is the first time I have had NYE out since dd1 was born so I did enjoy it.

yup the Euro decline is hitting hard. I have no idea how the locals cope. The idea of a tax free car has disappeared completely too.

glad to hear you are keeping well mCDreamy -take care!

McDreamy · 16/01/2009 10:48

Thank you! How are you Sunny?

VanillaPumpkin · 16/01/2009 12:48

at the tax free car loss too. We saved so much money when we were over there. It is obviously not the case now.
I worry for my dear cleaner who was working three jobs a day as it was.

OP posts:
McDreamy · 16/01/2009 13:26

Yes we saved an awful lot too! Who was your cleaner VP?

VanillaPumpkin · 16/01/2009 13:38

Niki who worked at the radio station cleaning in the mornings, did houses after that and then worked in a toy shop in the afternoons .
She was the absolute BEST!!! Hung out my washing and would make flower displays for me and bring us her Dolmades for Christmas and special occasions which were just divine! Oh and cleaned the house far better than I ever would /could. On the down side she used a shocking amount of bleach (which I hate and only ever use in extreme cases,) but hey I was at Lady L's having a bacon and mushroom sandwich at the time so I was not complaining .

Hi McDreamy! Wow 3 weeks to go. I think I saw you on another thread and my dd's name was quite near the top of your list??

VanillaPumpkin · 17/01/2009 14:39

Hello again. Just saw you might want to use cloth nappies. I have some Kissaluvs needing a home. They were FAB for me. Do you want to mail / CAT me?

OP posts:
McDreamy · 18/01/2009 21:40

Hi VP I am considering using cloth nappies. I have never come across Kissaluvs - tell me more about them. Sounds very interesting! Have you had a nice weekend? I've been visiting parents, really strange to think the next time I see them it will be when the baby arrives

McDreamy · 18/01/2009 21:42

Hi hf - which name is you DD's if you don't mind me asking? We still can't decide! Have convinced myself it is a boy as we've always had name sorted for the sex of baby we've had. This time we are sorted for a boy!

hf128219 · 18/01/2009 22:40

Begins with D. Flower name. Not Daffodil! Daisy. Hope you are well

VanillaPumpkin · 21/01/2009 18:28

Hello
They are here and go fabulously with the Motherease wrap. I used the Airflow. It was a bombproof combo. I stopped using disposables partly because of the leaks from dd1's jet-bot .
I tried them ALL with dd1. These were the best, very flexible fit and good absorbancy as were the fleece/terry combo (cotton fleece not our sort of fleece). Also the poppers make them fool proof and meant nothing got stuck together in the wash (I hate washing velcro).
Feel free to CAT me .
