Dh is Navy and went away 3rd November, due back on 9th January. Howeverm they decided last week that they would extend his trip till the 24th January (how nice of them).
But...
He has his notice in. His officially leave date is May 31st. But with all the leave they owe him and ressetlement leave and termination leave etc etc. It brings the date right down to 21st January.
He has not agreed this date with anyone from his squadron yet as he moved sqaudrons 1 week prior to being sent away. And there was no time.
He has gone to his smr or watch chief and shown him all his ressetlement documents and they have said "we'll see what we can do, but cant promise anything".
They are already flying one person home on the 9th due to him starting PO's course on the 16th.And the other watch are all flying home on the 16th. Unfortunatly my dh got pinged for the last leave date (which is very annoying as he was made to go out there 3 weeks earlier then every one else!)
I know 2 weeks isn't that long to stay on,but we really miss him. The longest he has evr done before is 6 weeks (yes, I know i've led a very god life as a navy wife in comparison to a lot). This will make it almost 3 months.
So what do you think his chances are then?
