lapin - my husband always referred to Naval ranks as "squiggly amps" and to RAF ranks as "barcodes". Yes, you've guessed it, he has no clue about other Service ranks.

I was there in 2001-2002 but not in a quarter, I got married while I was there but we got our quarter at Wittering instead and I lived in the FASC.

lol at the DP things and souflee well i'm crap at that!!

well hubby has his 3 options drwn up

  1. driver air despatcher
  2. driver port operator
  3. army air corps soldier (groundcrew)

and in case a 4th) movement controller

so hes been having a shuffle arond with them all. i was very impressed he even wrote that down! bless him.

he still seems very army not so raf so think thats him made up

lol on tuesday hes got a appt after his barbs so still very much just happening, but obviuosly with his age it needs to happen quickly

he scared to call his mum and spk to her about it all.

he also has his next stage of redundancy on monday
