Yes I think there is.....not 100% sure

We have gas (thank goodness!) If you have a gas point there should be a pipe that has been blocked off at one end behind where your cooker is.

TBH, I don't think you will have much luck; given that most of us have ovens that have been condemned and we still cant get a new one.

getting a new oven was the easiest thing ever for us.

dh dropped a bottle of aftershave on the hob and it dented quite badly.

next time they came round for a gas inspection they noticed and said they would get us a new one.

2 days later my brand new modern cooker was fitted

that was exchanging a gas for another gas though.

I did once clean the oven (previously condemned) and the seal and inner door fell apart, thus meaning that after just 10 months of a completely broken oven, we got a new one!

Sorry to hear about H LL; my H got it on the infamous "day of the snow" this year... we gave her calamine and a paitbrush and she sorted herself out hope he feels better soon x
