Were they polite about him? I had his kids to stay for a week recently - great fun, especially when the youngest ate 3 portions of cold sprout salad at a restaurant. He didn't feel well the next day...I wonder why!!

How is Shriv? Have you met any snotty Army wives yet?

The ones I met at Shriv terrified me - some of the older ones brayed!

Have met some nice ones here - my favourite (the abdominatrix) is moving back to UK next week. I'm trying to work out how feasible it is to come over for my pilates lessons.

LL if DH takes the job, he is offered we might be looking at buy in Shriv

He will be working in Faringdon, and I will be looking for jobs in Swindon, so it is about halfway.
