The Royal Regiments of Scotland, which is the f2nd battalion?

To me they will always be KOSB, Black Watch, The Argylls etc, but the news insist on saying "the 1st/2nd/3rd/etc battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland". SO which is the 2nd Battalion? is it the KOSB?

we were royal scots but we merged with the kosb.

we are now 1st battalion the royal scots borderers, otherwise known as 1 scots.

2 scots are rhf

I used to have a friend in the Royal Scots many years ago (actually, a boyfriend [mooney reminicse(sp) emoticon]).

I didn't realise they had merged - what a shame.

THE ROYAL SCOTS &
KING'S OWN SCOTTISH BORDERERS
(1st Battalion)

These two Regiments are now the Royal Scots/King's Own Scottish Borderers (1st Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland).

ROYAL HIGHLAND FUSILIERS - (2nd Battalion)

It is now the Royal Highland Fusiliers (2nd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland).

THE BLACK WATCH - (3rd Battalion)

It is now the Black Watch (3rd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland).

HIGHLANDERS - (4th Battalion)

It is now The Highlanders (4th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland).

ARGYLL AND SUTHERLAND HIGHLANDERS - (5th Battalion)

It is now the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders (5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland).

3rd Battallion will always be the Black Watch to me,my son has served with them for the last 12 years and I am very proud of him and the Regiment.
